Proposals of papers and workshops

Submission of papers

Submissions must be original and should not have been published previously. The official languages of RIE 2015 are English, for the most part, and French, for a special session. All submitted papers should include: Title of the paper, abstract, keywords, author’s name(s), speaker’s name, affiliation, e-mail, preference for oral or poster presentation.

Submitted papers must follow the two-column format with single-spaced, ten-point font in the text. The length of submitted papers can be max 6 pages including figures and references. After the successful review process, the final version of the paper (max. six A4 pages) is to be prepared according to the templates.

LaTeX and Microsoft Word templates are based on the IEEE Manuscript Templates for Conference Proceedings (http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html).

Authors using Microsoft Word should use the A4 template and follow the instructions within the template document.
Authors using LaTex should include the \documentclass[conference,a4paper]{IEEEtran} option in their latex file and follow the instructions in the IEEEtran_HOWTO.pdf (http://files.iai.heig-vd.ch/LaRA/web/p/RIE 2015/IEEEtran_HOWTO.pdf) document.

Poster session

We welcome the submission of short papers (2 pages) reporting good practices and successful experiences from educational robotics projects in the form of “short paper plus poster”. The short papers (2 pages) will be included in the proceedings; the posters will be presented at the workshop during a poster session. The format is similar to the beginning of a paper (title, author(s)/organizer(s), contact information -address and email, and an extended abstract, along with the A4 copy of the poster.

Workshops and special sessions

Proposals for workshops or special sessions can be addressed to the co-chairpersons, stating the purpose, intended audience and rough requirements in terms of infrastructure. A short description, for communication purpose, should be provided. The format is similar to the format of a paper (title, author(s)/organizer(s), contact information -address and email, and abstract).
